Olamide Defends Controversial Song “Logo Benz”

Olamide has shielded disputable tune Logo Benz, following an objection by Nigerians over its verses which is said to advance ‘yahoo-yahoo’ and ‘blood cash.’

The singer took to his Twitter page to guard the melody, saying it is for the outsider to have a look at the condition of young people in Nigeria.

He wrote;

“Logo Benz is for the 3rd party to have a glimpse into the current state of youths in our society. (Runs girls x runs boys) “ I’m not sure if there’s anything like 2 much awareness, but pardon me if there is. It’s all over the news, it’s always been in movies, don’t box musicians.”
The explanation did little to quell the negative reactions, as fans continued to point out that the lyrics of the song encourages ritual killings.
